Dear Addison,
Today, on your 4-month check-up, I thought I'd write down a few things of importance in your short life thus far.
Just so you know, you are 100% breastfed. However, I must tell you that both your height and weight are above the 99%. Hear me: OFF THE CHARTS. You are so big that you've grown out of your little infant carrier and have graduated to a big-girl car seat. Tonight we went shopping to buy your big sister a booster seat. We learned today that you are more than half her total weight. Sometimes we sing you songs like: "Your hip bone's connected to your ham bone"; "All you need is blubb(er)"; "Beast of Burden"; and various songs by Biggie Smalls.
On a lighter note, though, you are our social butterfly. You put your sister to shame (who's a bit shier than you are) by making new friends and winning people over with your big, warm smile. You'll laugh out loud at just about anything. You're extremely ticklish in the rolls between your neck and chest. When it comes to nursing, you'd much rather hold deep, mommy-daughter conversations than buckle down and focus on the task at hand. I've resorted to holding your head still so that you won't be tempted to flirt, unabashedly, with me.
You are a sleeping champ. Of this, I cannot be more grateful to you. I've almost forgotten that it's not normal for a baby your age to sleep 10-11 hours straight at night. I'm knocking on our wood desk as I write. Keep it up, and you'll have one happy mama on your hands.
(Your legs barely fit into the Bumbo seat. I'll give it a few weeks before we have to oil your thighs before setting you in it.)
You sister is preoccupied with other things, namely, fashion. We are not to leave the house without jewelry and shades on, and some sort of purse to hang onto.
(Watching a movie with a friend)
(Sporting her mama's black cowboy boots)
(Playing fairy princesses with new BFF, Neve)
(Striking her best supermodel pose before we head to the pool)
I can't wait to see what type of little girl you grow into. I know it will fly by, so I'm eating up every single moment of your little babyhood.
I love you,
Mommy

Oh my - I love that picture of Addison standing up and showing off her chunky legs! And I'm glad to hear she's in a new carseat. I'm sure she'll be much more comfortable. Makenna cracks me up with her dress-up and poses.
love it! Love Makenna's flare. I need to come see you all again soon!!!
You must produce heavy cream. Good work momma!
I am LOVING those thighs! I am glad to see that I have one thing in common with Addison!
oh my goodness, I love the rolls! She is so cute! And lucky you, Lily only sleeps 8 hours, and that's on a good night. Makenna is adorable with all her accessories!
"oil your thighs"---made me spew some Diet Coke:) Addison is SO incredibly cute! I love her cute smile & it's great to hear she's a perfect baby. (10 hours! seriously). And I await the day I can copy Makenna's ooober-cute bun pigtails. She is a FancyNancy:)
Like Janica, I too loved the 'oil your thighs'. Those are some dang cute rolls and oh man are you going to have a good picture to add to her yearbook when she is a senior!! dang 10-11 hours, I am pretty sure I could count on 2 hands how many times I have been privileged to get that amount of time out of Carter in his entire 2 1/2 years! I loved that Mother video you shared in the previous post, thanks for sharing.
The rolls on her legs make me soooooo happy. Squishy babies that sleep through the night are the BEST. My Ethan was 20lbs at his 6-month check-up and I'm praying for another huge baby. (Um, as in gets huge after she's born. I don't need more damage done.)
Okay A: Addison is DARLING! B: Makenna is her mother's daughter hands down. Leaving the house, Shoes:check, Sunglasses:check, Cute Jewelry:check, Looking like a babe for the whole world to admire: CHECK! I miss you and love you so much. It was soo good to chat tonight.
I know, I know. I've been a bad friend.
It's been way too long since I've checked blogs, thereby missing this delicious little portfolio of pics of your sweet girls.
THOSE THIGHS!!!? I could just eat them up!!!
I can't wait to see you and those munchable babies of yours. Is Thursday night still good??
Love you!!
She is NOT in a big girl car seat. What?!?!?!?! I could just eat those thighs.
My baby will someday sleep that long... My baby will someday sleep that long... My baby will someday sleep that long...
