Beachy Keen Jelly Bean

Guess who turned 6? Yep, my little 5 lb. 4 oz. baby girl. We planned a family beach weekend around her birthday, which made this already special girl feel even more special. We headed to our favorite spot for catching the waves and the sun, which is Sandbridge Beach.

Can I just tell you that after 2 years of planning fairly elaborate birthday parties, prepping for a beach weekend was a simple walk in the park. I vote for doing this every year.

Especially with this angel sleeping all wrapped up in the shady tent while her sisters played the day away in the sand and waves.

Addison was perfectly contented playing in the sand by herself, but preferably with her older sister. As stated in previous posts, a thrill-seeker she is not. But completely darling, she is.
 Sandcastle!!

My little gap-toothed birthday girl. 4 loose front teeth are doing a number on her grin, but I still think she's pretty cute. Are 4 teeth gone in the front even a thing?

Bless the Baby Bjorn. It's a small miracle our big girl even still fits in it with those delicious thunder thighs. She went swimming in the ocean with us and loved it!
3 girls and their mama enjoying the most perfect beach day ever to be.
Speaking of thrill-seekers, we definitely have one on our hands. She took to boogie boarding like no other, carrying her board like a little surfer chick, looking for the "perfect wave". ("Mom, that wave's got our name written all over it.")

Birthday girl! Guess who raked in with all things Brave? Someone presently has a mild infatuation with Merida, the horse-riding, archery-master heroine.
She also got her very own digital camera in light of her constantly wanting to use mine. This was an older one of ours, but completely new to her, which is all that matters. She has taken tons of pictures and videos and is proving to be a natural.

Attempting to teach Kendall how to boogie board???
She settled for just lounging on the board.
Oh, how I love these three.

Someone's ready for Kindergarten...

And per usual, we saw dolphins just off the beach in front of us. They were feasting on a whole school of fish flapping in the water.
And lastly, a stop off in Richmond to our favorite place to eat, Buz and Ned's BBQ, Sweet Frog FroYo for the birthday girl, and then we couldn't resist a quick stop off at the place where it all started exactly 6 years before...to the hour.
It's been the best 6 years of my life. She made me a mother, and for that, I couldn't be more grateful. I love her more than words can say. Happy Birthday Makenna!
