My little girl started preschool today. In her words, "I'm all grown up."
She was a bit bashful upon arrival, but quickly warmed up to the scene when a dollhouse and baby bassinet were spotted in the corner. From there, a smashing success. Although someone named Sophia sounds like she may be her arch-rival already; ("I want the owl and Sophia no give it to me. She say, 'No, no. My owl.')." When telling her Daddy the best part of preschool over dinner, she proclaimed it was the little doll house. And then, "Maybe I better go check on it tomorrow at preschool." 
*Little conversation in the car today...
Makenna: Mama, what we having for dinner tonight?
Me: I'm making Sweet Potato-Coconut Soup with Spicy Relish (actual name).
Makenna: (laughing) Are you kidding me, Mama?

What a funny girl! Yay for preschool-for both you and her!! Oh how I wish she and Neve were in the same preschool. When we were taking Neve for her first day, Neve just expected that Makenna was going to be there. So sad we kept having to reminding her that she wouldn't be. What a cute pair they are!
p.s. I want the recipe to sweet potato-coconut soup with spicy relish please!

Kara, I can't believe she's a 'scool-goer'! Unbelievable! Nick & I saw the CUTEST little girl at the park the other day & we both agreed tha's what Makenna will look like when she's 8. (Hope that didn't sound creepy.) I just mean that you have a very darling and I'm sure a very bright little pre-schooler:)
